HOW MANY BOXES WILL I NEED?
Most moves need somewhere between 40 and 150 boxes, depending on the size of the property — roughly 20–25 for a 1-bed flat, 35–40 for a 2-bed home, and 50–55 for a 3-bed house. These are averages though, and it comes down more to how much you own than the number of bedrooms, so it’s always worth ordering a few more than you think you’ll need, rather than running short on moving day.

Tip: A rough mix that works well for most homes is mostly small and medium boxes (for books, kitchenware and anything heavy), a handful of large boxes for lighter, bulkier items like bedding and cushions, plus a couple of specialist boxes for wardrobe items or picture frames and mirrors.
